With that info settled I took some major steps. Cupola is 100% and glued in place including the spring for the hatch and it functions fine. Finished the major welds on the turret and filled the smoke launcher mounts.
I'll add welds for the cupola and sand flush the material filling the holes next. Going to figure out how best to make rivets for the Rommel box and make the necessary changes for the chin cutouts. Gotta add a plug for the pistol port (flare launcher?) and add the turret vent.

I hate to say this, but the flare launcher wasn't used at all on the 25mm roofs.

Ha, of course. So let me see if I get this correct...
For my early-mid build:
The earliest second generation turrets are made - July 1943?
The turret vent is center on the roof?
The large commander pistol port is a delete?
Commander plug style pistol port used or can I get away without it?
The loader's periscope is present?
Early style loader's hatch with the disk in the middle of it?
Where I currently have the pistol port/flare launcher on the roof, does anything go there on the mid-production or is it an empty space?
Should I have an escape hatch? Did all early-mid Tiger's have one?
No smoke launchers. Delete as of June 1943.
Early side vision ports are acceptable. Changed August 1943.
Chin cutouts needed.
Track hangars are acceptable (my current set-up has them with the late wrong spacing though).

The first few Mid turrets didn't have the chin cutout. I could show you a photo if you like.
Then, it was a few more later when the cupola hatch was changed to swing backwards.
Then later they changed the vision slits.
Your periscope is perfect, your loader's hatch needs the disk, put nothing at all behind the loader's hatch, and I'm sorry but all of the early-Mids had the side plug pistol port. And they all had the side hatch.

I'll see what I can do to lose the flare launcher, it's in there pretty solid. Adding the pistol plug shouldn't be that difficult, I'll need to find a good pic to get it properly located.
Does the loader's hatch at this time use welds, bolts or something hidden? Tiger 131's high res pics have been my main research due to the great quality detail shots available and I see no bolts but I think others have had bolts?

Adding the disk won't be too hard either.
Chin cutouts, I'll work off suggestion if you think they belong or not. I wouldn't mind doing them as long as it's proper for the tank. It may help make the tank unique, as I feel like I haven't seen too many done. Feel free to share all the pics you like, I've gone back several times to refer to all the info you shared with me David, thanks.

The loader's hatch had flat-tailed bolts. They are designed to blend in with the armour surface, but you can see them if you look closely.

Did some hull welds today, here's a picture plus free bonus!!!1 Got the spare track hangar complete and glued in place. It's very solid and holds the metal track just fine. Going to go back and retouch all these welds once they dry a bit, it's hard to work with them when they are still soft.
The turret flare launcher popped out with extreme ease. I did not expect that. However I had to do a lot of cleanup and prep to refill this empty hole in the roof!
In addition, I did the welds on the loader's hatch, a few small spaces on the turret sides (not pictured) and the commander's cupola.

Nice work!
For the central turret fan, do you need drawings?
(not that it was really central... it was 15mm to the right of the center point).

Funny you asked before me, because I was going to ask you, David.
I have two different ones for 1/16 Tiger but neither looks correct. They both are way off actually.
Edit: These are the two I have:
They both look like this, with a slanted lower base:
When I went looking tonight I found these pics:
Are there different vents or just the one?
Which does the early-mid use?
Those holes in the top go all the way through the top plate right? As screw access for the lower screws?
