Hi Richard, the elevation function on my TK22 is to move the left stick half way down then left and right elevates/depresses the barrel, I'm not sure how you have the TX mapped to achieve this. Too far down fires the gun, mid-point slews the gun, so it can be a bit fiddly to find the sweet spot for elevation. The alternative might be to use one of the other channels on the rx that has a dial type switch on the tx?

It's not the servo - if I connect it to the recoil on the board, when I fire the gun, it goes up and down. I connected a spare servo to the J4 connection on the board. When I power up, the servo zeroes itself. However, I get no response at all from the joystick. Any suggestions anyone?

One thought -it is a new transmitter. Could the problem lie with the joystick? Using the display facility, it responds when I move the stick.
Speak to Stian. The servo may require some rewiring to operate this function.Imageespecially with the Sbus setup.

The answer is real simple really. Take a look at CH3 and j4 on this diagram: Image
This is how the TK24S is setup. You should have this diagram as well with your purchase?

That's not the diagram that I was sent. Mine makes no mention of channel 3 and the connections for J4. This is what Stian sent me

He also sent me a photo, which meant nothing to me until now. However, with your diagram and comment, I think I can understand it now. Thanks for your help.

No problem! Just made a topic in the Clark sub forum with all the up-to-date diagrams that have been released, so it will be easier to find.

I am delighted to say that, having rewired in accordance with Code501's diagram, I now have a fully operational vehicle! Just a few minor tweaks and I shall declare it complete.

One small problem this morning. All my testing was done with the hulls separated. I put the upper and lower together and found that the upper would not sit down properly. There are a lot of wires to accommodate and I had totally overlooked the amount of space needed for the sunken floor of the crew compartment. Moving the wires forward gave me two options. Either the hull fitted at the back which caused the front to sit up or vice versa. Obviously, I need to rethink the internals. At present the wiring seems to be bunching up, effectively creating a fulcrum point for the upper hull.

As a consequence of the problem above, I am thinking I need a physically smaller battery. All Ni-Mh batteries seem to be a similar size and shape. I have a Li-ion battery that came with my Heng Long T90 which is a lot smaller. Is there any reason why I could not use this? Or what are alternatives?
