After editing for color as much as my programs will allow this is what it looks like.
Appears the tank was originally the desert tan color then spayed over with the nato camo.
I know they made a tan color plastic water can but as you can see the ones in the picture look whitish or more likely tan.
When I was in the service we had metal 5 gal cans and the water and fuel ones looked the same on the outside but the ones for water had some kind of plastic on the interiors to keep them from rusting. Usually they were stenciled" water only" with a white band painted around them and some had the tops sections painted white.

Love it. Seems the figure manufacturer had 1/16 tanks in mind when they made those figures. Perfect fit!

I just ordered a set of GuP mini figs BTW just to get Anzu. It's only 40mm tall, with the big head, chibi style. Hoping it arrives soon from Japan. ^_^

Wot I don't like with the headlights is that there's light coming out of the rear of the housing. I'm looking to cover it with leadfoil but won't that short out the lights because the terminals are exposed?

The cans in question are water cans. The small top on the lid gives it away. They were tan plastic in the Gulf when we used them.

After making sure the light housing isn't loose try pushing some filler into wherever you see light leaking out and remove any excess before it hardens. ( If the plastic is glowing because it is thin then hand paint over it with flat black paint, may take several thick coats ) then paint over the dry filler areas with flat black paint until you see no more light glowing though through the filler and apply your finish color. I've done that on a lot of HL headlights that let light escape to the rear of the headlight.

Usually only one of the wires to the diode has no insulation on it unless the headlight mounting shaft is so big they can be in separated channels molded into the headlight mounting shaft with 2 holes thru the hull into the tanks inside keeping the wires apart.
Since the headlight diodes on the HL Abrams are smaller then those used on most of their tanks I think its likely at least one of the wires has the insulation on it.

Fuel/water cans(no brains to put fuel in a vulnerable spot for such a low volume anyway)are faded yellow, but I will admit they take on the Pink Panther British hue if I muck around with my screen settings Image

HMMMMMMMMM...What I can't believe is how the subject of the "color" of those pink gas/ water cans actually became topical :haha: :haha:
they should just make it easy and go back to carrying "buckets" :haha: :haha:

Believe it or not...I make them myself ATC :D ....no one really makes the figures for these tanks...don't know why ..because the franchise is pretty strong...and the fanbase ...though mostly model 1/35th scale is slowly moving towards 1/16th...because of the availability of the tanks ...will try to post more commanders in the M1...but most of them are already assigned to their perspective rides ;)

Those Chibi's are Cool...like the big heads...have a couple of big 4" heads a friend gave to me...they are sailor moon heads..but easily modified...plan is to morph them into GUP figures and have some really outrageous Chibi figures ;) Hopefully they don't tip over my tanks...as they are pretty heavy resin :haha:

Kiaser wrote:So with respect as soon as the challenger 2 is released then your position will change snapping up one in quick time to add to your fantastic collection :D

girls und panzer with cups of tea :O
NAH...Position will remain the same Kaiser...Like I said in my first thread about the M1...Patience really paid off on this model...as this full metal version seems much better than the early released plastic models....you can work and modify the tank in the same way...but the package is just better...so it will be a wait and see on the Challenger....though the Idea of finally being able to put the ST GLORIANAS Insignia on something makes the release very tempting ;)
Kiaser wrote::O they are amazing I am placing order for two brilliant :D

Why do you dangle the carrot :'( :D
TWO?? 8O one should be enough lol....If you follow the blueprints set by Green Giant or ATC...one is enough :haha: ...though it could be said...you could do up the stock M1...and do the early model...then Giants and do the mid model...then ATC's and do the deluxe model...but then...You would need to get THREE :haha:
