Cheers Mr Merlin.

All its got is a light crust of dry mud on the sponsons & an over all wave of XF 57 Buff to take the edge off the colours.
Tracks went on last night, so he went for a test/pre acceptance drive  ...........................and then

RAN OUT OF GAS !!!!!  (this time NOT destroyed by crew & abandoned !)

One of the little treasures woke up this morning at 0347hrs so I put the "gas" on charge then so it was a full tank by normal operating hours :)

I still have the exhausts to do, some of the tools to fit and the odd rain streak but thats all.
Not needing to much weathering due to short time in service, but can assume some mud deposits under guards & a bit of spatter here & there.

Well I will admit to being rather 'excited' once I did make it to bed , but knowing my luck I would have a baby popped out covered in rings :wtf: :lolno:

Herman you may already have answered this but I can't seem to find it, what did you use to colour your tracks?

Worked up the "post traumatic eating/drinking disorder" that is xmas day food today & got the paint on the tracks.
This time I kept track of what I used.
German grey, base colour.XF 63
Red Brown, a splash, XF 64, could use hull red for more rusted look.
Flat black XF 1 to tone down.(depending on your rust preferences)
Dark Copper XF 28 to get that slight rust/weathered tinge.
Gun Metal X 10 to give the light refracting metalic look.
Entire lot made up 15mls of a tamiya mixing jar, then the thinners wentin to fill it up.
I knew from White Tiger tracks that these things would eat the paint, so a full 35 odd mls was in order.
Put the tracks outside to warm up & hit them with the airbrush.

For this tank I only dusted over them with Buff to soften the look.

Hope this helps
