I remember when I had just finished mine... there is just a kind of pride when you take it out and run it... It's huge protruding "brow" just captures the imagination as it lumbers along ...the KV2s are really great looking tanks...and really stand out when displayed in a collection... they just seem to overpower everything in sight
Which brings us to your display.... I'm sure you put some thought in...very clever how the KV almost erases the KT... and pretty much obliterate the image of the Sherman

Alpha,
*chuckles* You give me too much credit. I just have the heaviest tanks on the big desk in the library. The one I am currently working on is by the edge so I can lift it easier. ;o) I agree with everything about the KV-2. It is a splendid 'tank' that embodies every nuance of the word.

Spent the last few days working on figures and doing minor touch-ups on accessories. I discovered that the driver's side adjustable idler had a broken mount. I contacted Gene at Artistic Hobbies and the part has already been replaced by a complete new set. That's top drawer service. I'll replace the piece this weekend. The only thing I am waiting for in the post is a chuckle inducing add on for the Driver. Stencils and weathering and it is done. Pictures:

Second.... one guy needs a uniform change... Third... What happened to the wine bottle?.... and why does that cup look like a can of spam ?

Good Morning,
Answers forthcoming: 1st: I've been unwell of late and post at odd hours. 2nd: Put it down to the Germans throwing together the 66th out of remnants of the the Afrika Corp along with troops and machines from the Eastern Front for an Invasion that never quite got off the ground. 3rd: Wine bottle is in transit from Herman's favorite Doll House Furniture joint ( if he has one? ) Lastly, the cup is from a German canteen ( which should have been with the figure but was not hence the wine bottle and the look on the Driver's face ) ;o)

A few days spent getting over an issue with my health but now back at it. The tank is complete barring a quick antenna build tomorrow and dirt, mud and a little rust in weathering. I'll do the over coat of flat this time to help save the lettering and camo. A Show Off thread is close so for now, pictures of the work so far. ;o)
