i'd also be interested to hear of the solution you possibly come up with for the weak suspension spring issue
Cheers, Lee
I'm thinking of four extra strong springs, Lee. That's- two for the leading wheels (L-R), and two for the rearmost ones (L-R), as these take more stress than the others. With the Comet and Cromwell, the rear springs also have to cope with the weight of motors, and the torque from them as well.

Follow my build for the Comet, as I'd learned a lot from the mistakes I made building the Cromwell. Christian's instructions can cause unforeseen difficulties- that's if you follow them in the sequence you'll find them laid out in. Example-
don't glue the glacis plate in place
before fitting the track tensioner- as Christian appears to do. You'll be in a world of hurt if you do.
The grainy photos in the instructions can be confusing too.
So, you should think hard about each step before taking it.

The instructions are downloadable from his website. Go to the Cromwell page and right at the top immediately above the basic kit picture there is a small green/blue link with Manual written there, click on that.

Sounds like a plan Roy

do you have a source for the stiffer springs? If you do I would be grateful if you could share the link to them as I've yet to fit the springs to my build and would like to fit a stronger set first as last
Cheers, Lee.
