I use milliput dilluted with a bit of acetone and an old toothbrush for this purpose.

How do you keep the acetone from attacking the plastic? Or, is that what you're trying to do, at least a little bit?

I used a drop of acetone and tamiya putty on a test piece and it deformed
Could be the test section was to thin ?
