Dunno Kiaser....if you look at this photo...your hatches are OK

Two more shots that confirm the side opening hatches

in other photos I found...it looks like the hatches opened sideways as a provision for the machine gun
Image
This is the only one I could find that has the forward opening hatch...notice...no mount for the machine gun ;)
It does look like a more contemporary photo as well...so I guess it would depend on how you are building your model...vintage or modern

ALPHA

PS. If you notice...on the modern Js2...the headlight is on the right...on the vintage shots..it's on the left ;)

Cool...a clear gun...you going to put some kind of lighting to it? I know my Metalizer would hide the light where you don't need it and just have the tip
blaze the color of the Led :D

Hey, a bit more research on the subject:

http://www.missing-lynx.com/articles/ru ... /amtis.htm

I know it's a model but it shows the correct positioning of the gun just to the right of the periscope block hatch

http://albumwar2.com/wp-content/uploads ... /39792.jpg

This one shows an is2 with the AA gun facing backwards. So I'm thinking the mount sits on the swivelling bit of the cupola.

Kiaser wrote::haha: :haha: just working out what to do :/ it is a big unit the copula hatch's should rotate 360 degrees Mr A after Speaking to Tom .

Most of the pictures show the hatches used in the position of left and right of the copula the other alternative is just to sit it off to the right side of the copula in the not in use position .
UHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....So what was the problem again? :haha: :haha: :haha:
Sounds like the hatch deal is all sorted out
