Yeah ..I hear you....that's one thing about these conversion kits...for some reason you always need something you don't have lol...wish the down time for parts weren't so long ...told you about the connectors I had to wait for...don't ask about those tiger leaf springs

Dr. Alpha,
Those springs should be here any day and I will use that as the excuse to put the final attachment cement on the push together wheels. I was waiting until the springs were up to snuff. There is a lot to do with the Casemate while waiting. Small handholds and making screw mounts for the Taigen gun as well as figuring out how to mount the trunnion so that it elevates and drops cleanly. Lots to do while the anticipation of finishing it off builds up. I have to say it has been the most intensive thing outside of a pure kit that I have attempted to date.

You do realize Painless...you could have made about a 100 sets of springs by now
get any practice with that spiffy airbrush yet? this one would be nice with some highlights

Good morning!,
It was simpler to order the spring set. Any I made would have gone too far in either direction, hard or soft. ;o) I'm still reading up on the how-to's of Air Brushing. There are several great sets of hoses and tools, bottles, etc. on Ebay for the VL. Great Compressor deals as well! I'm already thinking about trying for the high light effect on this one with the airbrush instead of the Tamiya weathering kits. Thank you again!

LOL... It's always simpler to order ....making springs would have been faster
..More labor intensive...but faster
....Once you get that airbrush set up going ...do me a favor Painless...don't ever forget the past....remember that the airbrush is just another tool ...a tool that is to be used with other tools...including the hairy stick

Nothing in the Post on Saturday plus it was a day out running errands. I was able to do a little more on the StuG today. I want to clean up and paint the interior for some details by the Commander's hatch and of course, the worst of the cast issues were right there. A couple of putty applications did a rough fix. When the putty dries, I will sand and continue on from there. Pictures:
P.S. Alpha! Crazy Joe wants to wait til' the M10 is available. "A bigger gun", he said. ;o)

WHEW...didn't realize the Taigen mech was that big...looks like a tight fit there Painless

Good morning, Alpha,
It will be an exact fit pretty much. The HI Flash brick will have to mount on the side where the wires are in the PZ II turret. The Mount will be fudged a little because of the differences in the mantlet.

My micrometer eye is a little fatigued...but it does look like it's "just" there....there's a good chance you may have to go lipo on this one...
If it does get to that... I recommend a dual leaf they are super thin ...airsoft shops carry it...and the charger as well ...these guys are pretty good
