Righto, so I got reckless last night, and up til 0230hrs

211 of the bloody things................ :/
All hand painted

The front is pretty close to the picture, as is the front right side & front left side.
Other areas are artistically Impression'd !!

An unplanned but likely realistic scenario for reasons behind the pattern .........

When the turret is rotated 90 degrees either way the pattern matches up when viewed from side on - turret front, or side on turret - rear :wtf:
Could it be that this seemingly random pattern was actually cleverly designed to disrupt the outline no matter which way the turret was positioned ?
I will try get some pics to explain what I mean after the clear is dry.

Well let me give you the news, tossed & turned, are there to many, not enough, I missed a patch of yellow, to much yellow, rings to big, to small, . :/

They are on .

got the clear matt sealer on this arvo. Used Tamiya XF 86 which is a deviation from the sealer I have used before. No issues with frosting as many have had, but while it was setting outside, some D-head has got a fire going which dropped ash onto the clear coat  :wtf:
Picked most of it off with my fingernail and the rest can be easily sorted with the dusting etc etc. Still a pisser but.

Not sure its the way I thought it would be after such a build up over the years, but its far from finished yet.

Here are a few rushed pics of the jammy way the camo seems to work. Keeping in mind this is as close to the picture as what I could do, plus the factory back then may have been working to some form of guide that made the concept work better.

Or, Im just way overthinking things & need more of Tennessees finest export to dull the process :eh:

I'm sure you'll fix the minor glitches, but from where I'm sitting it looks excellent. Tbh I never realized our whiskey was a big import. Last thing I bought from Tennessee was car parts. :haha:

Good Morning,
You did it right, Herman. It is amazing to look at! A lot of work and Bourbon consumed has produced a very cool result. Whenever I see something in initial coats that looks so perfect like this, I almost don't want to see it weathered and mucked up.
regards,
Painless
