Managed to give the hull top a quick coat of paint (Humbrol #86)

I think the cast effect texture has come out better now painted over.

Added a bit more detail to the tank.

I know it was the later KV1's which had the fuel drums attached but think it looks good so made myself a fuel drum out of plastic card.

Image

Bit more paint and engine coolant vents added.

Image

Also added a few spare track links.

Still got bottom half of hull to paint when it arrives and weathering to do.

I know I haven't posted on this build for a while but been messing around with electronics in many tanks etc.

Anyway got the Clark TK20E-RU installed in this tank, fits quite neatly.

Image

As most people know the Clark supports servo recoil. I did have a modified HL recoil but cannot get it to work with the Clark so decided to cut it up and go the servo route.

Image

And my poor attempt at a speaker box with a Viston FR7 speaker.

Image

Also ordered maplins IR emitter and volume control so will be fitting them later this week.

Done a bit more tonight. Basically put it all back together and the servo recoil wasn't working >:< Closer inspection found all the cables coming from the turret jamming the servo. So a slight mod to off set the cables to avoid the servo mechanism.

Image

Seems to of done the trick. :D

Will post some video of it action

Sweet ! I like the flash + recoil , the synch is perfect , the 'flame' effect is cool too ! Have you tried the motor sounds etc .yet ?

Cheers Blimp. Yes tried the engine sound, but on this board the engine is louder than the gun so for ease I didn't start the engine. When I get chance I will upload another with all the sounds ;)
