surprisingly i just thought about it yeasterday lol. i have done some drawings at my löwe project were im just doing the same and i just thought why not making an easy mode e-100 for hl suspension.
i need more time, to much ideas hehe

cu christian
Chistian, please let me know if it is not ok to post on your e100 thread, I will delete everything if you want.....

What i would like to see from these kits would be some options, first would be a hl king tiger base kit. This kit would be for someone that wants to get a e100 up and running as quickly as possable. The sides would need to be cut for hing long king tiger suspension like this.......

Image

I would think that each side would need to be 2 layors to make it work.

Another option that would be good would be a quick way to convert the heng long wheels....

Image

As you know, the king tiger wheels were 800mm tall and the e100 wheels were 1000mm tall. A quick way to fix this would be to offer rings that would be glued to the hl king tiger wheels to increase the size( 2 per wheel). The wheels on the king tiger look a lot different than the e100, maybe something like a hub cap could be done or just a flat ring to catch that flat look of the road wheels...just a thought, I look forward to more of your creations.

hello scott

sure thats ok to post in my thread, i have already the drawings ready to cut the hull side in taht wahy that you dont need to kut a henglong lower hull for parts, you only need to srew the henglong shwingingarms into my hul with its spring. if my secount prototyp of the Löwe is ready i will show you the detaily of this construction. And this constrution willbe useable for my other projects.
Aboud the roadweels thats no problem, i have done that a few times now, for my first prototyp i have done some adabter roadweelrigs and for a custumer. using my scalroadweels will beposible to. and of cours everyone should knew that the e-100 was planed to get the 1000mm roadweels but the only hull we got did got 900mm roadweels. Every original picture of the e-100 shows you the 900mm roadweel.

I don't know if you have seen this one...I know one of the probles you are having with the e100 tank is the track width...this guy cam up with a interesting way to get wider tracks( altough I think he chose the wrong tracks to base it off of.....)

http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... 0&start=80

I just orderes a buch of tiger one tracks because they are a closed pin design where the king tiger is an open pin design...I just need to find a easy way to make longer track pins.

Good question, Henglong Tiger 1 tracks are 42.5mm wide, the E100 tracks should be 68-70mm wide, thats what I would like to get.....this would be a lot easier if hl or tamiya made close pin tracks out of plastic for the king tiger. I still need to find what I will use for track pins.

The e100 was to have 4 part tracks....like this.....

Image

I may have to try duckbills if I can find a solvent glue that will work on the tracks.....I did a little messing with some matero king tiger tracks, here is what I found....

Image

if you look carefully, the lower track link is the henglong king tiger....its smaller link has more loops to hold in the track pin so they are a better choice....

like I said, king tiger tracks are 50mm and I want to get close to the e100's 70 mm size....this first pic, I cut off the ends at the holes for the drive cogs...this neted me 60mm

Image

Image

here I tried to trim the for a duck bill look......fail

Image

next I tried to cut a set of links at the track teeth for the full 20mm added width...

Image

Image

I do not like the extra holes so the cutting at the out side track holes is mostlikly how I am going to go.....so what salvent to use?

the original track of the e-100 was one meter wide that would mean you only need a 62,5 wiede track.
i think using uhu plast for glueing the tracks should be work the best. and i thing i would close the extra holse with some plastik.

thats a realy alot of work and you need to cut alot of tracks maybe buing a metall track coming soon fromthe gieswerk would be a option, sure it will be realy realy expensive but if i see your work i think ist a work for one in a jail lol.

by the way im just puting your hull together ;-)

Christian, this pic shows the 50mm king tiger tracks and a 60mm version of the tracks

.....Using a dremmel with a cutting wheel, I can cut a couplete set of king tiger tracks in less than 15 minutes. If I can find a good solvent glue for the tracks. I think I can have a complete set of wider tracks in a couple nights. The tracks are very easy to pull apart with a spring loaded center punch. One of the tankers in my club told me to to look into music wire for the track pins( for pianos or bangos). I have to get a micro metter on a track pin to find out the right diameter and I will hit the music store.

I was thinking about the "duckbills" on the e100 tracks....the left over teeth on the cut up king tiger tracks might work for this.....this would be very time consumeing....
I looked up that glue, I found this....

http://www.uhu.com/en/products/plastic- ... b10&step=0

what type do you recomend ? All of these seem to be just adhesives...not solvent based glues....not sure they are going to as strong as I would like.

looking forward to getting started on this beast....
