I don't have a Taigen Panzer IV. According to the review, the only metal parts were the tracks, gears and the suspensions. That's unfortunate because looking at the Taigen Tiger, it seems that Taigen uses the same upgrade parts as those sold by AsiaTam. That means that they could have added metal idlers, sprockets, road wheels (with rubber tires), and front/rear/turret hatches in addition to the tracks.

What goes into the tank is specified by the vendor not TaiGen, the same applies for the choice of paint, whether the Tiger is an early, mid or late production etc etc.
It is basically like a car dealer where you buy a new car and choose the extras, well except you normally only buy one car and not hundreds.

Sounds odd. If that is true, then why do all of the product descriptions for the Taigen tanks in UK and Australia all sound the same? One would think that the various vendors would want to differentiate themselves by offering more upgrades, or a cheaper price.
Oh...and it takes more than a paint job to make an early, mid- or late production Tiger. There are parts that are different (and available) to make that distinction.

Well since I have the full TaiGen product sheet here it is true.
All the tanks in Europe and UK under the TaiGen brand are imported through one distributor only. The products you see are from resellers. This is why you often see the items listed with the same description and photographs. I can't comment on Awesome or the order quantities or items they have chosen although it is most likely they chose the template version and not a specific or custom version.
I didn't mean that the paint job made the tank but that you can specify what paint job you want when you order, and you can also specify if you want the Tiger to be an early, mid or late version.
Tankbear to answer your question the Panzer IV by TaiGen that you are referring to has the following extras over the standard Heng Long. Metal suspension, gearbox and tracks. I cannot confirm about he MG or the drive sprockets, idlers. TaiGen do not produce sprockets in metal although Heng Long do so it is possible.
Ragarding your earlier question about the Panzer IV or the Panther G, I would probably choose the Panther G.
The Pro version is a UK distributor tag as far as I know and means it has metal tracks and drive sprockets. You can have the old type in a Pro version so it is worth checking with your seller if it is the smoke and sound variant. If the supplier is clueless, which is likely, ask them the colour of the Pro box, you should be looking for a white box and not black. Alternatively you can ask them for a model code which is on the rear side of the box to make sure it is a smoke and sound version 3879-1 is the number you are looking for.
Unfortunately, this will only tell you if it has smoke and sound and not if it has the RX18 fitted. A number of tanks I purchased had the older RX13 or RX14's fitted and these were from the main UK, Heng Long sanctioned, distributor.
Alternatively contact Dave @ Forgebear and ask him to quote you a Panther G and the metal upgrades.
Hope the essay helps!

Could you scan and post that sheet? Might be helpful for those that want to work with a vendor.

I bought a Taigon Tiger hull from Welsh-Dragon. It comes with a metal inner hull, torsion bar suspension and metal suspension arms, very similar to Tamiya. They also have a nice quick release mechanism that allows you to remove the upper hull easily. It mated with my HL upper nicely. I drilled out the suspension arms to take Tamiya road wheels, no problem. It also comes with an electronics deck with a Velcro battery hold down. For under $100.00 shipping included a very good deal. Can’t wait to get one for my Panzer III. Some photos on my site
