I/m not sure Dave, I really do not know much about non-German armor. What are the differences between the two? I am more than willing to learn new information about the allied armor, cheers Blake

I have viewed both videos and see some hull and turret differences could you post some information on the main gun.

No worries Blake, I find it difficult to see with a pic like that 'cos the hulls are quite similar at certain angles, but the differences I notice are that the drive wheel on Chaffee is at front, but on back of Bulldog. There are 3 return rollers on both tanks, 2 are closer together toward front of Chaffee but on Bulldog they are closer together at back. Also the M-24 has very similar tracks to Sherman, perhaps a little narrower, but Bulldogs tracks are wide and have bits sticking out.
Gun wise the Chaffee has a 75mm M6 and the Bulldog has a 76mm M32, though im not sure if this was upgraded at all?

I have found information and a photo of a Porsche King Tiger with Grossdeutschland crewmen. The records show only one unit, 1ST Company of three platoons as the standard Panzer tactical group.

On 13 December 1944, the III Battalion of the Panzer Regiment was redesignated Heavy Tank Battalion Grossdeutschland (schwere Panzer Abteilung GD). The companies were renumbered 1, 2 and 3 Company. The 1st Company received new Tiger II Ausf B "King Tigers".

Because this same article and the date suggest that a mixed group of Porsche and Henschel were possible as the other two companies in this Battalion were remaining Tigers and some factory rebuilt Tigers.

So I intend to number my Henschel King Tiger as "113" and the Porsche as 213 this may seam an assumption but late war mixed groups were common.

The real problem is the numbering colors? Any suggestions are welcomed,the tactical markers will be standard white outlined.I have considered the earlier photo of the Henschel with yellow numbers,but the Blue with yellow trim would be my choice. although I do not know how the colouring was decided.

Further research has made me decide to number my Henschel King Tiger 013 Command Tank 1st company Third platoon. Considering the Porsche as 113 or 213 as either would work being a mixed unit.

The decals were printed using Decal Maker software, the glare on the three is my fault for not cutting it out closer to the number. But came out very well.

love your Tiger I, I got some nice pics in a battle of Kharkov book that show factory fresh pz grey GD Tigers standing out like sore thumbs in the snow,KT's in GD is news to me I always thought they soldiered on with Tiger I's till the end in East Prussia,so tell me more,I do see why you do GD armour so many inspiring tales, Rzhev,targul frumos,wilkowischken,memel,kurmark on the oder and halbe,heroic and tragic,I love the story of Tigers having to close in to 500 metres to engage the first encountered IS-2's,and get away with it,it seems all the armour legends of ww2 had bad debuts ie T-34,Tiger I & II, Panther,and so on
