Nice job. Mato should package the tracks and VVSS together and sell them separately.

I appreciate the work that went into the transmission cover. I have modded the tranny cover but never tried the 3 piece. What gear box have you got in this, and did you have to mode it to give you the required clearance for the tranny cover? This is a Tamiya base right?

I have built three Fireflies now. I am addicted and can not stop.

Hi YHR,thanks for the reply yep its a tammy model and the trans cover was made with plastic sheet and pill boxes , no extra work was required on the gear boxes and it s the latest ones being used,, but the hull is the 1974 version that i have since then........if you go to my earlier built and follow that but the tranny cover i will do a separate build in the future as it requires a few mods... it also got me into using lead sheet and that is how i was able to get the shape around the gearboxes...........
Glad you liked it ,and i think that your builds inspired me to go on and do mine.........

Thanks, I 'll look forward to your tranny cover tutorial.

I think that is the way this modeling works. We feed off each others attempts, and progress as we move forward. Your Firefly is awesome. As I mentioned the tranny cover and cheek armour really set it apart.
