Re: My First Tamiya!
The turret is a resin aftermarket job, as is the rear deck, front trans cover and exhaust deflector. I have some side trans covers as well, but they don't go over the bearings

WOW, thats a lot of work your doing on your Sherman, i did'nt know they even sold half the parts your fitting
i do know that there is very little room in that turret for anything, so well done on fitting a recoil unit, i'll be watching with interest

Well done on the recoil mod? Hows it coming along?
I was wondering, can you plug recoil into the Sherman's DMD? Does it work straight off?
Cheers,
Rik

Re: My First Tamiya!
There is no recoil output on the sherman MFU, I'm using the Pershing unit.

Re: My First Tamiya!
I figured, are you using both the DMD and MFU from the Pershing? Which number ones do you have.
The Pershing one has the weird start up sequence doesn't it? I ask because I only have digital trims on my Tx which would make it hard to start.
Cheers,
Rik

Re: My First Tamiya!
DMD T-05 from the sherman, MF-03 from the Pershing, I'm told Fleshy has done this before...
I'm going to follow Yellowshakers procedure to set it up with a spektrum:

Re: My First Tamiya!
Thanks for the tip! I do something similar on my Tiger with a Futaba 6EX, but I just use the dual rates switch to flip the stick movement to 125% its normal. That should help.
I'm looking forward to seeing your recoil mod!
Cheers,
Rik
