Just to give you guys the nod 8)

This Tiger 1 Tank Partwork series is already here in the UK following its launch in Germany, it's currently on sale/being tested in the Ipswich area for 4 issue's, where the series will then be brought to a halt

If the series has had enough interest, it will then be launched nationally at some later point during the year with TV advertising etc, if the market Test does not go well, then that will be the last you see of this Tank series in the UK, the test in Germany must have gone well for them to launch it nationally, though thats no great surprise with it being a Tiger 1, almost a national hero!

Its a 1/16 static model of the PzKpfw VI Tiger 1 ausf. E, it has full interior detail and a lot of its makeup is of cast metal parts.

The series will run for 140 weeks (if it goes on national sale), issue 1 is 99p, thereafter its £4.99 p/week, that makes a whopping £694.60

Heck that makes the R/C Tamiya 1/16 Tank kits sound cheap, and they do so much more than sit, though I suppose you can't buy such a model for a fiver a week!

By the way, great forum you have here guys

well, tell you what, bet you cant find a Tiger 1 mantlet, muzzle and barrel for 99p on ebay anywhere so I for one will be buying a few issue 1's! :haha:
Now if they just did the mg and cupola in issue 2 that would be dead handy @)

Maybe something in the water there :haha:

Will be interesting to see if this item makes it beyond a just a market test , and I can certainly see the lure of being abe to buy into it for only a fiver a week, but 140 weeks (2.5 years) is an awful long time before you see the end result

Now THAT would be a great day if a company like Trumpeter did a Tiger 1 with full internals. I have one of thier T34's and its exellent.I have tried to get the old 1/16th Tamiya static kit but its about as rare as an honest politician. This idea is WAY too expensive and anyway I want it NOW!!!!

A down side is that there appears to be a fair amount of bad vibes about partwork models around the modelling forums when it comes to quality and accuracy, each to their own I suppose, though it will need to be good to justIfy the cost of £700 and 140 weeks to complete it
