Yet another Jagdpanther
Re: Yet another Jagdpanther
maybe you could ask Homer Simpson...he seems interested...
Re: Yet another Jagdpanther
Sorry for remaining silent Andicog,I am following your build.I have yet to start on my new Jagdpanther but I think you are doing a fine job.On my TIGERVI I stripped and restarted and was happier with the paintwork as a result. The texture done to the mantel reminded me of a post where baking soda was used to create the texture. Were you aware of that technique? Keep up the good work, you have my attention for what it's worth. Are you also considering texture on the barrel? Blake
Re: Yet another Jagdpanther
Yes I saw the baking powder tip but it says a lot about my Mrs housekeeping that we have more body filler than baking powder
WHAT ? the gun should be textured too ? pass me the filler !
Xrad, thats not Homer Simpson its my reflection in the cup ! Thats what liquid poly, tamiya colour and lots of late nights with tanks will do to you !

Re: Yet another Jagdpanther
I really need glasses,I did not see homer at first.Homer in a tank would be a danger to all.Your doing fine with the house hold chemicals you are using,as far as the barrel I was just wondering if you were going to texture it also?
Re: Yet another Jagdpanther
Seems ages ago I started this but been busy with other things, finally got new camo on today, wheels tracks etc to sort and then winter wash over the lot.

Re: Yet another Jagdpanther
I like it so far, winter wash should be interesting? I started my paintwork this week but the more I look at it the more I want to start over.Would you take a look and give me your opinion? I really would like to se the winter wash, any technique your following or something you are thinking of doing of your own creation? Cheers Blake
Re: Yet another Jagdpanther
Well I'm much happier having stripped the first attempt off, see pic of what I am aiming for, not tried it before so it will be trial and error again !

Re: Yet another Jagdpanther

Re: Yet another Jagdpanther
hey Anicog.I forgot to mention chaulk pastels and stiff brush might create the marks your looking for.If you don,t like the result wars it off with hot water. If you do like it seal it with the Matt Floor varnish.once sealed the colors will brighten some what but still rather flat look.Oz turned me on to the idea.I will continue to follow your build with interest. Also the varnish is a UK product.Blake http://i675.photobucket.com/albums/vv11 ...
