The P1S with AMS seems like a solid choice, especially for model making. Many people say the main jump to the X1C is really about advanced materials and some premium features, but for most hobby projects the P1S is more than enough. Exciting that you’re ready to order—definitely feels like the perfect early Christmas gift!

I would skip the X1C at this point and go with an H2S or H2D. They are bigger, newer, and more versatile as they can also be used as a cutter and a laser cutter.
