Tiger ausf. B 222
Re: Tiger ausf. B 222
I used the AK wash 300, enamel based.
This has the adventage that you always can wash it off when you are not satisfied or when you think you added too much on a certain spot!
All 4 Kingtigers are completely plastic, the tracks too!

Some details before weathering, what do you think? Tools are real wood covered by shellack but they dont look nice i think.

Re: Tiger ausf. B 222
You have done so well on the tools that it will be painful to weather them at all. Bravo!

Re: Tiger ausf. B 222
Tools look very good!
A bit shiny, so you could ad a layer of clear varnish matt.
I also like that MG on the cuppola
Nice work

Varnishes will come. first gloss before washes, oils and decals and later flat.
Re: Tiger ausf. B 222
Building completed. I have to solder led in main gun cause i destroeyd it while removing masking tape. Visually tank is completed. Now i see that cleaning roods are to long, and of corse muzzle brake iis incorrect just like sprockket wheels. Pictures:

Re: Tiger ausf. B 222
Good job, well done indeed!
On all my 4 KT‘s I drilled the shackels and the spots they are on, with a 2mm drill.
Put a 2mm electrical wire through it all and glued onto the shackel on one side.
Filed the ends of the wires flat so they don‘t stick out of the ends of the shackels.

I was thinking about it. Those schakles include in HL tanks are wrong shape ( i forgot to change them). Screws are simetrical on both sizes in late KT.
