Only too bad the turret hatches couldn't be opened.
Swapped my turret with one from a Tauchpanzer, on which the hatches can open.
Ohh I've studied your build as well  I also wanted the turret side hatches to open. The tauche turret I could find was available from Toucan for $55. The Taigen turret fully loaded was $71 after sale price and a discount.

Patently this is a PZ111 but Heng Longs PZ4 Turret is the same in that even after Taigen/Torros revised Turrets which are now in my opinion the definative Heng Long continue to knowingly churn out unchanged totally inaccurate Armour with no attempt to modify them,
I have no intention of encouraging such a cynical atitude by paying them my hard earned.
Good luck with your build Mr Chef.
Unfortunately the Pz. III turret bin doesn't look to be revised?

Barrel mod install wasn't difficult. Just had to drill the mounting hole a hint larger and evenly through the barrel so the Taigen mount gets its purchase on both sides of the barrel=

This is the flash and recoil barrel btw

I'm interested because the available options for sale are slim and not correct for the effort needed to pull the mod off.

I will have to check the rules because it’s my dad’s design and he’s not a member here. But I do have the capacity to print them myself.

I will also have to check the bin with him because the last bin I saw was for the a complete panzer iv turret with the mantlet very short gun, bin mg etc.

I’m quite sure though that he did do a pziii bin for one of his initial tigers but unsure if he used it
It’s your tank it’s what you make it

Both of those snow pics are great. Not sure how far you drove them before the plastic tracks went totally stiff and detracked :D :D

But the HL PZIII is by far my least expensive tank even after totally upgrading it with a TK-50 and Big Mikes turret internal mods and also one of the most fun to drive around 8)

Mr. Chef getting rid of that HL/Taigen airsoft oversized cannon is definitely the best upgrade. Even more than the oversized bin We tried to do an IR emitter in the earlier 50mm cannon barrel on mine but it just didn't have the range to be effective. But it was worth a try
