It's great that peoples discoveries generally are useful to others - serendipity!

Made progress with the tank body design

Design is one thing, getting everything printed, debugged, and assembled is going to be a long and tedious process  8O

Beautiful work as usual! I haven't built WWI armor in any scale, but you are starting to make me want to.

I just thought that it's time WW1 was represented, and I've always liked the Mark IV, it was really the first successful 'modern' tank and rather interesting from an engineering point of view. At the time it was a real influencer on how the war was fought.

Making progress

Still a huge amount left to do, or as they put it on one of the car shows I watch, 'all that's left is all the rest'.

First track complete - 82 links! This means I shall shorrtly partake of an alcoholic beverage in celebration. My fingers are now a complete scarred mess, I have perforated them so many times with the drill whilst cleaning the links prior to joining them that I have to keep a tube of superglue to hand to prevent the workshop from looking like a rather messy battlefield - oh the joys of being on blood thinners  :/

and just when the elation has worn off I realise I have it all to do again for the other sponson :( 8O :(

I must say that I really love these track tensioner, and it is like, why can't the popular brand do a proper adjustable track tensioner ?

I recommend putting thin fluoroplastic on the first shelf, this will allow the tank's tracks to more easily overcome the section without rollers. Or glue a couple of strips of plastic, to reduce the contact with the hull as much as possible.
