thank you Mike, Ok so...you know why those cables are thick don't you? Extra insulation.ColemanCollector wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 7:41 pmSure. I really like the skin shading you've done on the cheeks, under the nose, and fingers, including the grime on his hands. Nice details like the olive drab on the binocular body, pewtar belt buckle and holster buckle.Kroenen1944 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 2:01 pmYes, but I was lazy, and typing while tired and with a migraine.ColemanCollector wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 10:24 pm Sorry, couldn't resist when you take a publisher to task over slaughtering the English language!![]()

They are publishers and in print, and they are clearly ignorant in the use of English. I love Osprey books,
but a Plural does not have an "S" on the end...... End of.
I was here to receive adulation and worship for my painting skillsIf not that, then to learn where I could improve.......any thoughts?
The eyes seem a bit too "eyes-wide-open", maybe some greyish-white to tone them down, and a thin line of flesh to enlarge the eyelids and limit the whites showing?
The brown to represent the cloth wrapped wires is cool, but the wires are a bit out of scale for thickness, and detract a bit from your details on your fine figure. I'd be tempted to try a finer thread, or copper strand and drill holes where needed to anchor them in the earpieces and throat mics.

No seriously. that's a very good point I didn't think about modifying him in that way to make him more accurate

Eyes. Ok they do seem a bit large, perhaps a combination of the sculpt, and my technique. I did use a cream'off white instead of white for the eyeball, but they do still seem a little bright to me. I will try and tone that down a bit more next time. You should have seen my first attempt on this figure, he looked like he was in the "New York Dolls"

That was very constructive, thank you, and I've learned something.
