I have no idea what a hector is (thought he was a European God or something) The lad cleaned me out, he got the T34 and battreies/charger and a few 35th models (is that what being a grand [or step] grandparent is about)?

Also, I've been checking out the Build pages mentioned by jarndice...the 5mm suspension modification (Herman Bix described this detail) is
truly the kind of guidance I was hoping to find on this Forum.

I've spent the last few days trying to figure out exactly how to lower the suspension on my HL T-34...

I looked through this Forum's Build pages, and didn't see exactly what I thought I would find...possibly I overlooked a post?

Anyway, tried searching Yt, and also no luck...I've spent hours watching all kinds of other T-34 videos!

Finally found something by doing a general inet by search: how to modify "heng long" t-34 suspension and it looks like I just need to add a plastic shims in each slot, in order to restrict the movement of the arms.

There's a link in it to a build by Phil Pflueger (I think that's the Phil), but yes, it basically involves putting a 3.5mm shim under the suspension arm. Great idea and easy!

The Taigen chassis doesn't need this mod which is why I've always used it for my builds. The HL version does ride higher.

I used brass, others use styrene.

I've been looking over the above referenced thread: BERLIN BUSTER T34/85 'BEDSPRING' -thanks ColemanCollector.

It's a lot to absorb. Trying to get up to speed by skim reading, stepping aside, revisiting, and then reading again more carefully.

Brass shim material vs. plastic, and then there's the 3.5mm or 5mm dimension concern. Also, applying the suspension mod to the front three wheels only, instead of all of them.

Very exciting...I've already taken the chassis apart (removed tracks and some wheels in order to separate the hull halves, and see what's inside)!

Good to learn about these possibilities. I'll try different things and see how they work. Thanks for the ideas!!
