Afternoon all,

I've added a couple of faux bolt heads to the stuart bogies and also changed the crosshead/phillips bolts that are in the centre, if anyone is interested and wishing to do the same the bolts are hex head M3 x 10mm

Another quick and easy detail added, used some styrene rod to make some handles for the fuel and fluid caps on the rear engine deck.
The new hex head centre bolts have now also been painted and I think that they look much better than the crosshead bolts

That's an understatement! Transforming from a toy into a scale model. Well done!

A few more little details done on the stuart.
I've added a couple of bits to the inside of the turret and drivers hatches, periscopes, handles etc the usual stuff, also fitted a better detailed aerial to the rear of the turret and a new .30cal turret mounted mg along with a search light.
Now onto the rear, it's now sporting a stowage bin and I've added some mesh to the rear exhaust outlets, and lastly replaced the tow pintle again for a more detailed version, just need to paint them all now

This is a helpful build! For example, I am grateful for your indicating the size of the bolts so one can go right to the shelves of ones own hobby room or the local hardware store. The "periscopes, handles...a new .30cal turret mounted mg along with a search light." Do you have favorite sources for these? These kinds of modest upgrades are such fine improvements and are actually within reach of my skills. :D

Hello professor,

Most of the 'upgrades' came from my spares box, handles, search light etc.
A particularly useful find though were the periscopes, if you own a classy hobby stuart kit you will find that they are molded on the same sprue as the track links which means that there are quite a few extras ( as there are loads of track parts to assemble  ) for what the kit needs so happy days
