Hi folks,

Kind of work in progress to redesign the recoil mechanism, given that I don't need the bb gun.

I have put up the 3D printed design of the Tamiya Battle System unit mount for the Haya Chieftain.

Do give me any comment or advise.

And yeah, the modified gun recoil unit is 3D printed. I will published the STL files once completed testing.

Hello, OK, but personally the 3 D printer, for me? It's not for me, but I recognize that for people who have mastered it, it greatly facilitates the making of certain pieces, well done.N

Yeah, my goal is to design some nice mods that I find it useful, then, tested the design to be okie, and finally published the STL online to share.
I don't assume you will have your own 3d printer, but if you find such mods useful, you could find folks that do 3d printing within your community to help to print these items. Maybe possibly for a fee, depends.

But I sure hope folks find it useful for these mods, and I am continue to build and improve on it.

I downloaded the mount. I'll print it out tonight after my other print is complete to test the install. I was replacing the recoil and elevation in my Chieftain with a metal Canshuo version I had here. Same type of unit I just put in the Merkava.

I did print the mount, but I thought it was going on the Commander's side. Since it was on the loader's hatch, I couldn't use the mount the way it was designed as I had installed the metal recoil and servo elevation unit. I had to make a platform for the elevation servo to sit on that uses the mounts your unit uses. I did end up modifying it to fit in the Command's hatch, but without the mounting hardware. I'm doing a build thread on my Chieftain so I can show you what I mean.
