Well, I do have 3 Panthers, 2 Jagdpanthers, one Stuh-42, 2 StuG-III and 3 Panzer-IV all with Schürzen.
There is only 1 (a Pnzr-4) which has the Poly Schürzen, but only the Schürzen!!
All brackets are made of brass.
On the first 2 Panthers I build Schürzen onto, I made them removeable, so I can take each of them off.
On both Jagdpanthers, I made the brackets also out of brass, but I screwed the Schürzen onto them with 1,4mm screws and nuts. So they have a solid connection and cannot be taken off.
Exept that P4 with the poly Schürzen, all the others do have home made Schürzen out of 1mm or 0,8mm Aluminum.
The StuGs/StuH do have one piece Schürzen (which also can be taken off of course), on all P4‘s the Schürzen are seperated and can be taken off one by one.
None of them comes off during outdoor runs!
It takes some effort building this construction but its worth it all the way!
Regards, Rob.

I started some threads in which I showed how I did make the Schürzen/brackets:

* X-Mas came early this year (Panthers).
* Just another Heng Long StuG III build.

Maybe it can be of any help to you?
Rob.

Fantastic camo paint scheme and weathering job! Great job on the figures as well. Love to see some close shots of those. :)

The 3 crewmen in black are the normal, cheap HL tankriders which do come with each tank when you buy a new one.
The one sitting in the rear hatch, is the one with the dog which comes with the HL StuG.
On all 3 of them I swapped the heads for other ones, which I got from the Sockelshop in Germany.
The 3 guys in the very first pics in this thread are from Ali.

Holy Schlamoli! Rob59, I didn't ever recognize those figures as standard-issue HL, Taigen, Torro! That's great work.

So you cann see what a change of the heads cann do, even with these cheap commanders.
I have several sets of these heads, with Schiffgen and Stahlhelm.
But they are a bit small, I guess 1:18 scale.
They do fit the HL guys very well as you have noticed.
I do not like throwing away things, like these cheap commanders, so with some new heads even they deserve a second life. :haha: :haha: :haha:

I have kept all the Panzermänner for painting practice, so I could change the heads. Of course, I could finish most of my projects by the 22nd Century.
