I have one of these and it's worth every cent when you are making a bunch of the same handles: https://www.bnamodelworld.com/hobby-too ... toolz-rp-h

Fabulous!
I haven’t worked with the T-55A for a long time, work distracts me from my hobby...
If you wish, I can post some photos of the original here...
We use slightly different clamps...
Hi Pavel, thanks, don't be to hard on yourself, I get it wrong at times (more than I like to admit) & end up redoing what I’ve already done till I’m happy with the results. It would be great to see some more photos.

MrChef wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2024 4:41 am This is such exceptional work. I am in awe of your fine detail work. Just basecoat or primer there? It looks amazing. I could never do this especially with anything I'd drive around the yard. Heaven forbid anything got damaged and or lost.
Hi MrChef, many thanks, it’s basecoat, it show up all the areas that need more work. :headbang:
I tend to run my models in wide open spaces, so hopefully nothing to run into.🤞

Thanks for your kind words Herr Dr Professor, I’m not a jeweler, l’m an electrical engineer. I enjoy adding some extra details to my models, I only use basic tools & a bit of imagination.

Those sticks that lie on the frontal armor are tubes, they are designed to carry an electrical cable inside in the mine trawl version.
Those strips with bolts on the armor, for fastening the trawl itself
I have a lot of photos of the T-55, maybe you are interested in something specifically, otherwise I can overload with information......
The log is supposed to be painted, it is supplied to combat units from factories - clean cylindrical.
The used log is not put back in its place, then they get a new one...

Many thanks Pavel for the information & excellent photos.
The T-55 is one of my favourite tanks,
I have quite a few photos I’ve collected but haven’t seen any of the ones you’ve posted, l’m always on the lookout for more photos & info.

This one has been “slightly” restored.....
Yes, secret information...
The tank is painted at the factory, the optical elements are covered or sealed or covered with thick transmission lubricant, the machine gun is removed from the machine.
And I repeat, EVERYTHING is painted with paint.
if it is repainted in the combat unit, then even the spare tracks are painted over, everyone is too lazy to remove the cables too.
I saw lazy people who poured a bucket of paint and smeared it all over the tank......
