I posted the pattern off to the foundry this came back 2 weeks later;
Turning the turret.
Unfortunately machining revealed a small blow hole.
I filled it with plumbers solder

A Renault is held together with lots of conical headed rivets.
Actually thats not true because they are threaded with a nut on the inside.
Conical headed rivets are not available but round head (snap head) are.
So I bought steel snap head rivets and started turning them on the lathe.
I stopped counting at 400.

I assemble the hull plates with stainless steel screws. solder the joints, remove the screws (the solder doesnt stick to s/s) and replace with a rivet.

Super impressive. And Frankly it is tough to distinguish your parts from the real one. This is going to be a winner. I did some aluminum casting over 40 years ago in high school. The turret is really great! What are the end plans with this, a static model or do you plan to RC it?

Not sure on your picture issue, I've never had an issue posting more than one.
