No. I've seen it done here before in other peoples builds. I don't care to do it, won't appreciate it and it's outside of my skillset.

Great job so far, I bought some Voyager Models PE mesh for my Tamiya Tiger I recently, they are quite cheap and very nice, but maybe you already have everything you need !
The Heng Long Tiger I is a very good base, with all the details and mods you are doing, it's going to look great !

Go on give the turret relocation ago. You say you do not have the skills? From what I have seen of your work, it is well within your skill set. I’m sure you would get lots of advice and support from the group.

That is true. Great learning experience and not really that difficult to do. I did a rectangle on the deck opposed to what the directions showed. Measured/cut carefully and simply turned the rectangle around.

Hi, Chef: I do understand your concern about a limited "skillset." After years of modeling, I nonetheless have to take tiny baby steps with each AFV I build, for as I have been an academic all my life, these manual skills do not come easily for me. However, your "skillset" and your "skillet" are both far more extensive than mine. If you decide to give it a try, I will cheer you on. If not, I certainly will understand and still be impressed by what you can accomplish. (P.S. my sweetheart got a kick out of your toothsome Hallowe'en doughnuts.)

You have all these skills required to reposition the turret. It's not difficult. Eric's advice is great. Just put some styrene stripes or tabs along the edges you cut (on the inside) so the square you cut can sit flush and be perfectly aligned with the rest of the upper hull.

Well there... Thank you all for the support. Ok, I'll consider it. Here's a link I found that shows how it can be done. Those of you with building and fabricating experience, is this what you are describing? Is this the method to follow or is there a better demo?

Yes that will work. We have a thread under "Things to fix on your tank" section here on RCTW. However, it looks like the photobucket curse has removed all the pictures. The narrative is still there if you care to take a look.

The only difference is the set back distance. On the RCTW thread he (and I) moved 13mm, on that link it was only 8mm. And I don't remember that side piece he removed from the lower part of the turret. My HL Tiger does not seem to be the same as the one he is modifying.

From the pictures in your thread, it does not look like yours has the lower side step down either.
