Thank you for posting the photos, Sailor! I sure wish I could have seen that exposition in person. The HengLong folks sure know how to put on an attention-getting display!

Thank you for the information. Just a question is the Leopard they are releasing a Leopard 1 ? They have already released a Leopard 2 previously.

On the note of Taigen has anyone else noticed how many tanks in their inventory are "Pre-Order" now?

You older guys school me since I'm new to the hobby. But when I started looking at these tanks at Taigen around 2019 and ordered my first one in 2020 their inventory was pretty full of all of their offerings. I wonder if business isn't going so well for them now.

Supply chain issues have affected Taigen pretty badly. Erik used to tell us the details when they were having issues, but IMEX makes way more other RC products that sell much better than tanks. I would say they don't care that much about the tank business since it's a small percentage of their business.

I have experienced good service from Imex/Taigen in the past. Yet the US firm has never seemed to have the selection that the German firms get. Taigen/Torro seems especially to have been hit by "long term Covid"; that is, the economic harm. Of late, I have seen stocks of Taigen pick up in Germany. Of course, the shipping cost from Northern Europe and the UK to North America are scary. So it works better to save up and buy tank(s), parts, and figures in one shipment. I did so some years ago and built my inventory that way so that now I have plenty to coast along.

In Europe (i.e. torro-shop.de, rctank.de) stocks are full.

When Erik who was their top salesperson and driving force at Taigen/Imex left the company seemed to lose interest in RC tanks as it is a small percentage of their sales. Erik had a passion for tanks and was traveling to the factory to give feedback from us hobbyists and assure quality control. Their customer service has also taken a huge step backwards in the USA with his departure unfortunately.
