Your re-done turret makes good work even better!

Allright so even though the resized turret looked pretty good, a friend of mine noticed it still didn't have the correct shape compared to the real one.

Oh crap :headbang:

Well he was right, I had to remake the entire turret from scratch, as the taper upward wasn't correct and the rear and wasn't correct either.
So after several hours I now got a real nice and accurate looking turret. Well worth the effort I'd say.

Going to print the new one this weekend.

The left turret is the old one. Here you can see the difference in overall shape and positioning of the details. Very happy so far :)

Printing is the easy part, persuading the CAD package to generate those curved surfaces is the voodoo bit!

For me it's not voodoo anymore...it's Bambu...Bambu Labs that is.

It's great fun to do after some practise!

Well yeah, turrets are giving me headaches. So much complicated curves

So I printed the new turret this weekend. So happy with the current shape. Much more accurate, looks more like the real T23 turret.
Here some pics of the printed item, putty, paint etc.

Not too much progress lately, spent some time on finishing some parts like the transmission cover and some more painting.

Also most of the suspension is replaced with the newer design with dual 4mm bearing per wheel. Runs so smooth now, very happy!
