Up date.

Have been doing a lot of trial and error stuff on this tank, the main problem being drive performance and tracks being thrown off. I think ive now come up with the solution. even though I improvised some track tension rollers, a bigger battery and a better aerial arrangement to give better signal, it still was'nt running as i liked it. Now, the guys who went to Cobbaton saw my Pzr III, which ran on Rc helicoptor electronics, powered by a 7.2V Lipo battery. It has full proprotional speed and handled excellently, driving over even the most roughest ground Devon could throw at it.So, ive robbed those electronics and put them into the abrams. Granted, you loose turret control and sound, but the new found performance is well worth it. We've had it driving through and over 2ft + grass, rocks and mud. Nothing so far has stopped it, no tracks have been thrown during turns and the radio range is in excess of 50mtrs. It wieghs little more then a HL battery pack and duration on a full charge is about 1/2 an hour. I'll try and get some pictures posted in the next few hours to show the work.
P.s. The old Abrams gear is now in the panzer, which coupled to a 9v battery, is now a propper little pocket rocket. Ive even had it driffting on the laminate floor!!!! Ill get some photo's of this on a new thred.

I am committed to the Jagdpanther and Panther from Bill@rccommand.But If I do purchase one in the future you seem to of worked out the problems really well,did you say Egyptain Abrams,Well that should be something to see.I did not think Egypt would have any,Isriel maybe.Ethier way have learned a lot from your build,Blake

cool, i wish you luck with your Panthers. Yes Egypt have the Abrams, along with Saudi Arabia and Iraq will soon have them! I too thought Isreal would have them but they have the Merkava Mk IV. I chose to do mine as an Egyptian one just to be different. Take it easy blake, Regards luke.
