Having attended both 'Flying Legends' at Duxford (and before the 'Fighter Meet' at North Weald) and 'Thunder Over Michigan' display here at Willow Run Airport, I can assure you that you are getting your money's worth at Duxford! The variety and number of aircraft is definitely better here in the US (both airworth B24's and 4 B17's were at this years ToM, 20+ B25's were at last years show!) but the display flying is dull - endless circuits for the most part *yawn*, even if there is an aerobatic display it is pretty tame compared with the UK...
I was lucky enough to see the OFMC display at 'Legends 2003, the final year they were sponsored by Breightling (sadly also the day that the RNHF lost their Firefly with both crew members  :( ) - that was one of the finest displays of aerobatic warbird flying I had ever seen - even before you stop and consider that a) the lead plane (P40) was considerably slower than the rest (Spitfire IX, P51D and FG-1D) and b) the leader (the late, great Ray Hanna) was 73 years young at the time! Compared with that, nothing here gets close to showing you how the plane really handles or what it can do... The displays at 'Legends shows are just flat out better than you will see over here in the USA, and 35 quid for admission to The IWM and the best warbird flying display on earth is well worth the price in my book!
