It didn't tell me what it was when I bought it so I'm assuming it's the antenna holder so that's why I located it there.
There is another bar on the opposite side of the tank which wasn't included so I will reuse the plastic one. This is possibly the mine bar? Was it used for locating mines or something?

Hello
hello, on the real thing, the hook opening is outward, logical, on the mockup is the other way around, unless you can't see it right

, the mine bar, was used to dig holes (coal mines, etc.) in order to place explosive charges, also to lift large stones, in the case of the tank, plus a troubleshooting tools

Ok yeah I see it now. I'm not sure that's something I will change unless I get bored.

Looking good so far, really coming on. If you are looking for some good reference material for how the KT was then this book is superb. They've visited the saumur King tiger as well as bovington. Loads of pics and explanation. I have a king tiger I am going to start soon and it's going to be invaluable I'd say

I wonder why the KT in Bovington is missing it's front mud flaps? I think it looks quite cool without them and thought it might have a been a field modification but I don't see any pictures of other KT without them.
I was going to cut mine off my model but will probably leave them

I am not sure that is a good idea, Others have done it and found ---------------NOTHING,
A very difficult to fill void.

Personally, to have done it on a KT Tamiya, where the fenders and mudguards, are not molded with the upper frame, it is quite simple to achieve. But on yours, it will be necessary to cut out, the whole and certainly resume some parts? damn job. After just knowing if we want to be as close as possible to historical reality? or just have fun making a few simple modifications

here is the work for a Jagdtiger,Torro, think that will be ditto for the KT ??
