I would also add that the landlady was really pleased that we put on a display, and that we will get a mention in the local paper with any luck. They raised about £700 on the day. She also said that if we ever wanted to make use of the facilities then we were more than welcome..and even offered us a free beer each!

Hi all  just note that i was the only lone allied tank all day ,but hell it was fun  ,yes i did get clobbered
quite a few times , but at least twice i managed to take out all three of the kraut tanks........
And that was most satisfying..........and  i concur that battling on a hard surface is so much better,
the batteries last longer and the tanks them are much easier to control, yep we had a lot of fun and also went and looked at the site for our next battle ........ all grass and if any body has a cordless strimmer please can they bring it along.......... we will need it............
Sorry no pics from me as i was to busy fighting for my life.......................
Thanks to Rob (fv432) for getting this event off the ground so quickly..........
Fleshy............................

Mats Pershing does 'run' in one sense of the word, however, when the aforementioned owner:

a. Forgets to take any batteries to a tank meet

and

b. Doesn't write down the rx channel connections I sent him

then the word 'run' takes on an entirely new context.

Took the car to a tyre a depot today, they pressure tested all the tyres, and that huge screw that was stuck in one of them hadn't gone right through...so that's more cash available for tanks then!
