Hi Guys Good news and bad news the good news is its not only us that have the feedback got this reply from Phil the bad news
Hey Pete,
I have the same problem,, I have only one of my tanks using the RX-18 board with the DBCRC2 and it fricken hums like giant power transformer! I set up two more for other customers and his tanks do the same. Since this was my only tank that I have with the 18 I thought the new board does that with all setups, in other words I did not realize that it just happened when you add the DBC or the DBCRC2! David knows about this, he must not have understood your question,, I do not think that there is anything that can be done about it the way that they have developed the new board, But then again I did you to work for Sony corporation and we did a lot of testing for EMI interference maybe ferrite core could be used on the com cable line or maybe the receiver board or the main can be shielded with tin,, you could try aluminum foil and start there, don't do both try one first and see if it helps! It maybe a grounding issue also we are getting the amperage prretty high now with that board and there is not much of a ground for it run on.
If I still use the hl boards I use the RX-14 it is fine with a fan, for what I want to do and you can connect recoil or what ever to it!
Phil
so we need an electromagian how can sort out why we have this feedback ,and how to stop it.The only thing it affects is the sound of the engine and M.G. if you use it when moving ,if you stop to fire main gun you can here the sounds, but if you are moving when you are hit it does effect the sound and is hard to here the hit,but everything works so its not an ideal setup having a Sherman or a Stug sound like an abrams,so till someone finds a cure im going back to Rx14 boards.
regards pete

Hi Guys great news fixed the whine no feedback now, changed the RX18 boards for RX14 boards ,they run perfectly now no whine and all the sounds. So if you have Rx 18 boards and DBC fitted and have the whine you will have to change the board to a RX14 if you want to get rid of the whine.
Regards pete
