It appears that weasels will hunt your bird. Maybe a few weasels? Or a cat... Yeah that's a better idea!

Matt varnished windows? But yes, shooting wildlife may be the norm in the US but us Brits don't do that sort of thing. Crushing wildlife between two cars, however, appears to get no mention in legal journals so must be both legally and moraly okay.

Grouse shooting, Pheasant shooting to name just two.General Jumbo01 wrote:shooting wildlife may be the norm in the US but us Brits don't do that sort of thing.
Oh, and foxes as it's more humane than them being torn to shreds by a pack of dogs, and we must not forget the deer and badger culls.

Re: Chaffinch Countermeasures?
Most birds were protected by law, only those classified as vermin were able to be controlled (crows, magpies, wood pigeons, etc). The law did then change fairly recently and now all birds are protected as far as I can recall.

Although I joke about shooting a bird, I would never do it. I have an air gun, a crossbow and a hunting compound bow with multiple sighting markers, I have only ever shot at targets.

Roy,
Get an airsoft Tank out there and ping the occasional plastic shot off of your car. Birds are not daft, it will get the not-wanted idea. ;0)

Like you, l only have a handful of assault weapons, grenades etc but would not use them on wild life.
