Now this, is some craftsmanship.
Cheers Mr Airman, was surprised how long ago I did the work to it.................this is the way it sits right now, 6 years later

I also have the later bolt on armour for the drivers front plate which will add to the final finish.
I am leaning towards a late G rebuilder that made its way back to the front after a return to Germany refit. There is a lot of hard evidence for these vehicles which suits my convention for rough oddities which dont necessarily conform to the popular norm. Also an Eastern winter theme, to further add character.

Don't want to blow this thread, but this is what I made out of my Taigen Panzer IV.
Made the Schürzen out of aluminum, brackets made of brass.
The doors in the Turret armor can be opened/closed.
What I made is not scale, but actually that's not really important to me.
It's all about the overall looks, and it needs to be outdoor proof for me!
Looking very good what you made so far, Mr.Bix!!
Regards, Rob

I have an L48 Barrel coming from Germany to change out the L43 & get it a bit more late-ish as a G that has been through a rebuild & sent back out.
Some Books call these Rebuilders or hybrids that have earlier G features and later G features which are out of sync with the time its seen/photographed in theatre.

Stumbled over this one.
A genuine G with both skirt sets, suitably rough, track armour, an odd ammo crate lid on the glacis, tow cable hanging loose through the missing schurzen , and a horseshoe on the remaining mudguard.
No Zimmerit, and I will leave the L43 gun in place.
The rotation motor wouldnt work, but a rewire & plug set up sorted that.
Camo will be rough squiggly lines over base yellow , looks like dry mud or heavy dust over the lower hull.
Game on, a return to the WW2 comfort zone
