I've done a comparison with the KV2 blueprint and the turrets are a completely different shape. I'll be fabricating it mostly out of styrene sheet as it is pretty flat sided, just the one bend on each side at the mid-point and I'll warm the styrene sheet on my printer bed to make it flexible. Just have to butcher the upper hull now to account for the change in length.

Another happy morning with the dremmell. Cut the upper hull and just have to get the right position for the turret before fastening it all together.

There's quite a lot of work to do on the upper hull

As they say in Yorkshire - Now it's looking summat like!

The upper hull is coming together and it's time to start work on the turret. Started out with the KV1 turret base.

To quote Hanibal Hayes (A Team) - don't you just love it when a plan comes together (or in this case a turret). :D

Still lots to do, I can't do the front of the turret until I've cleared with George what he wants to do about a gun barrel. I've got to figure out how to make the turret top removeable for access to the elevation and recoil functions so that's going to be a little tricky. plus I've got to bend some styrene for the turret sides and that's going to be fun
