There's one on Shapeways, but I don't think you'll like the price :O https://www.shapeways.com/product/Y7BPY ... 3-2-aa-gun

To be fair there’s been a lot of work gone into that, bloody expensive though.
I’ll see what I can find, won’t be as good as that though lol

I have yet to see a price on shapeways that I did like, or think was fair.

Wooooo.
Just like Elf on the shelf, it can sit on the bloody shelf!
Far too expansive for my needs. 40-50 be acceptable

Perhaps with the spread of 3 D Printing within all forms of industrial and private use the very steep prices of many products will come down,
You have only to look at the price of good quality 3D Printers to see how that could come about.
I would welcome an increase in 3D printed products in Metal,
At the moment Printed plastic alternatives for a failed plastic original part are just not financially viable, but in metal the price could with increasing use of 3D printers become quite acceptable.

Guy you are going to kill me someday. Silversurver, you provoked me a small heart attack with that shapeways item... Everything what I see coming from that website is very expensive... But I hope we will be able to print soon with the same quality at home. Nowadays I dont like the quality of almost all the creations I see everywere... I mean, for an internal and funcional piece are OK, but not for showing it...

But I think like most of the cases, it is just a matter of time...

The printing costs will come down, but how much will the stl files be?

Well the answer to the problem is to get busy with one of the free cad programs (e.g. openscad but there are others), do the designs, and then invest in a 3d printer or pay someone with a printer to print your designs. It's what I did when I was building my Universal Carrier, when Woz very kindly printed off my wheels and suspension which I had designed (obviously at a cost but nothing like Shapeways huge charges).

Where there's a will........ ;) ;)
