Yes Max good spot I wasn't happy with how it looked when the canvas was draped over it so I made the one with a curve on it and I'm happy with that one now but I only had enough material to do the one so I will be changing them all when I get some more

Many a moon ago (35 years) I travelled from Birmingham to Hull in the back of one of these, that pic above brought the memories flooding back, my feet still haven't thawed out

Morning all,

Couple of little updates from yesterday evening, I made a new fuel tank making it about 25% longer then I moved the exhaust stack from the back of the cab to the front side it still needs filling and work doing to it but pretty happy how it looks. I added an airfilter outlet to the front side and put the mudguards onto the cargo bed, still lots of little bits to add yet but it's getting there

Hello all,

I've nearly completed the rear cargo bed for the truck now and have got to the stage of being ready to fit the boards running around the sides and the benching, what I would like to know is if these wooden boards would be painted the same colour as the truck in which case I can fit them before painting or are they to be left the natural wood colour, any info gratefully received

My backside carries the scars to this day of the pull down Olive Drab painted seats fitted in the back of Bedford "RL" 4 wheeler ten tonners of the 60s.

Thanks for the info Shaun that's great, I wanted to paint them the same colour as the truck but wasn't sure if they should be left, I'm glad I can go ahead and fit and paint them, I can weather the area's of the benching where it would wear the most to make it look worn and well used

Have you found or managed to fix the steering problem? My Trucks seem to have a problem with the steering arm hitting the left side suspension when turning left. I added glass to the cab on mine using heavy duty plastic packaging & used a Tank crew figure as a driver as a quick fix.

The glass and the crew look very nice. I too have noticed this with mine. I was going to change the front linkage and pitman arm when I convert it over to servo steering. Will utilize some metal steering linkages and ends from my r/c cars to address this. The steering arms that come with it look a bit chunky and are very sloppy and loose.
