There are no „standard“ gears available, that fits in the tiny front hull, so only one way is possible: to build customized one.
Size 25mm gear motors are used; they are strong enough for this lightweight tank.

The housing is made of glued 3mm aluminum plates:

All parts of the gears…

…and mounted:

Originally I planned to use Pz. III return rollers…

…but then switched to scale printed roller mountings and using the smaller early Pz. IV return rollers…

…and Pz. III metall tracks which were cutted on each side to get overall track width of 19mm.

I think it´s looking well ;)

That's certainly putting it mildly, Freddy. The combination of design and engineering is nothing short of spectacular, I love the unique builds that you and Chris come up with. Keep it up!

How the hell do you keep coming up with Ideas Mr PJ66 ?!!
Intuitive use of existing parts to get the look you need...............really well thought out

This time the idea wasn´t a real problem, because the suspension is very similar to the original.
Using existing parts of other manufacturers is the only way to keep the costs a little lower...

Thanks a lot colleauges!
