With the smallest of extra work it will look as good as the Tips & Tricks job.
You just pin vise a hole through the top rail of each clamp by the raised hinge,
Push a "Schumo Wing nut and shaft into the hole and pin vise 4 holes into the rear panel to take the clamps,
Slide the clamps around the Jack at each end and fit them into the holes you have drilled,
Using a tool clamp fixed to the rear panel enclose the jack handle to hold it against the rear panel.
All finished.
Shaun.
Shaun you are a wealth of knowledge  thank you so much!
Tanks alot....

Looks amazing Carl. So glad the tracks found a great home. They were nice tracks and I always wanted to do something with them but you have done it !

As this thread evolves and has with some wonderful suggestions become a bit more involved than I originally thought can someone please move this thread to the Heng Long/Taigen builds section? I don't want to have it posted in the wrong location and such

Many thanks in advance

Carl

Pintle and chain. Need to do some tinkering and then paint. Thank you Shaun for the great idea. Image

I used a framing nail cut to size then soldered the brass chain to a pair of copper pins to the nail end and the tow hitch.

The pin is removable and can hang from the fixed chain. The pin is removable from the tow hitch attachment.

Who knew a pair of tracks would lead to all the extrasImage

Cheers

Funny you should ask.... They are actually left over from an airbrush compressor kit. I cut them to length and super glue the ends to keep the braid in place and then trim the ends to get them neat

I'll go look for them on ebay. Found a 1.8 metre length for under £5 :haha:
