Last couple of pictures for the night, need to let the glue dry properly. The hull now has wheels and tracks, and the upper hull top has the rotation parts attached.

I'm using an aluminium barrel and brass muzzle break, so I think im going to have to counterweight them.

Also i've tested the electronics and all is well. I must say the speaker in the Tiger one is a lot louder and clearer than the one in my KT.

Cheers,
Rik

Feifels would not have been used, none of the pictures I have seen of the hybrid Tigers had them and it's highly unlikely that they would be used when they where dropped by the mid production even some early production Tigers where not fitted with them

I thought that would be the case. Shame as I quite like the look of them. Its not a bother. It leaves space for jerry cans.  ;D I should have it up and running by the end of today. Then I just have to paint and detail the beastie!

Well, she's running, but lacking any detail at the moment. I need to build a charging circuit for it, and when I get a graupner 6v smoker, i'll cut down the speaker box and add smoking exahusts in.

The last pic shows the 3 part strip along the roof of the turret near the mantlet. This piece is not in the Tamiya kit, but I managed to scratch one up with a lot of patience, lol. It doesnt look fantastic at the moment, but a bit of sanding and paint on it, it'll look better.

Does anyone have any good pictures of the underside of the engine hatch?

Its getting there Matt. I just need to wait until I get paid to buy the airbrush and paints I need, plus the Aber PE kit. I'm going to try and scratch build as many details as I can for her as possible.

Hi Rik ,
Nice job your doing , keep the picts coming . The three strips you added is something Ive been thinking of after seeing it in the Tiger modeling book . But was this on all tigers even the late models ?

As far as I can tell it was on all Tigers. Im not sure of the function, maybe it held a waterproof seal down, or just helped bolt in the gun.

Before you install your graupner smoker in the sound box have a reed of this http://www.uktank.org/smoking_tamiya's.htm

Thanks for the link rivet, it was interesting to see he put one in each exhaust.

I was going to cut part of the sound box away and use the extra space for a custom made box & fan to blow the smoke up pipes to the exhausts.

Cheers,
Rik
