Hi denzil love the tank
Just got a question about setting the flash unit as I have the same turret and recoil unit

Hi John
I fit the usual micro switch to the side of the Jadpanther recoil unit and then run the + from the recoil motor to it and then through a small resister to an ultra bright LED bulb in the barrel end , so the positive side is switched by the micro switch and then the - line also from the recoil motor direct to the LED.
Thus when the recoil motor is energised they is power also onto the LED (thro the micro switch, hence the muzzle flash)
the bonus of this method is that all wiring for the flash unit is kept internal to the turret.
So wiring into the turret is only 3 wires Red + for recoil motor and elevation motor.
Black - for elevation motor
Black - for the recoil motor
