If anyone has seen the Trapster in Marvel comics, this stuff must be akin to what he uses. It will take days to get it all off
Hopefully you managed to let it set when you weren't touching anything..... I found it peeled off nicely when the top layer of skin flaked away! :O

Good morning, Rob, *Laughes*
Well, the first mistake I made was to run inside and give my hands a scrubbing with soap and water, water, of course, making this stuff cure faster 8O After that, I checked the can and it was "Cleanup with Turpentine" Didn't have any of that so I took the stick off of it with some WD-40 and let it cure for a few minutes. After that, I was able to start peeling and now have a set of non wrinkly hands this morning to thank for that hour of labor. ;) My only defense for this was that I was doing it on lunch hour, rushing and forgot to put on a pair of nitrile gloves. :{ Apologies again to Jarndice for the tiny thread hijack.
regards,
Painless

P.S. This foam was made by Loc-Tite and is supposedly something new and wonderful for sealing. I can definitely attest to it's high aggravation factor ;o)
...Here for the Dawn...

Painless I am very pleased that those magic building hands have not been harmed,
I am very aware that threads have a habit of being diverted often to its betterment.
I should imagine that a lack of hot water in your neck of the woods is nearer to life threatening than here where it is merely inconvenient.
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Sadly I think if we want niche products the best way is supporting niche suppliers like the ludwigs and mk modellbaus etc because i think if we want this kit we have to be prepared to pay for it or do it ourselves (scratch building or kit bashing).
Good points in your post Tom, I think there's also the combination of facts that (in terms of R/C electronics and mechanics) a half-track is considerably more complicated than either an R/C car or an R/C tank and that a lightly-armoured transport is going to be far less popular than a battle tank. I don't think a cheap halftrack is on the cards at all, unfortunately. Our best bet would probably be someone like Trumpeter releasing a 1/16 static kit that can be converted over.
jarndice wrote: The thing about buying any product from the likes of "Ludwigs" is that it is expensive enough to discourage a bit of fettling which a £300 to £400 Heng Long Tank even at that price is still more acceptable,
Having seen Roy's Cromwell build, I think a little bit of fettling is not only encouraged but required when it comes to Chris Ludwig's kits. ;)
