I think you would be surprised how many people take a look on the forum to see if there is anything for sale that they want. If they do a Google search for a tank for sale, then the post will appear, they will come to the forum and maybe buy it.

The only thing that I would add is that all transactions that occur via the forum buy/sell are between the forum members. The forum can't take any responsibility for any disputes that arise.

The E100 I sold on Ebay two weeks ago just now according to the buyer, had damage due to "shipping". I find this out after Paypal puts a hold on my account of course as the buyer never bothered to contact me beforehand. I have tracking information which shows he received it over 10 days ago and the picture he sent me shows one of the fenders partially separated from the hull which is easily fixable. What I think, is this toad didn't read my description and came to the realization he is over his head now wants to back out. Now I get to fight with ebay and that moron will probably win....

I saw that tank it was very nice. I stopped selling my custom builds on there for the same reason hope it all works out. Not worth fighting. Get the item back and maybe sell on here Image

I agree with all of you. I am a power seller on ebay but only of small stuff. I would never send a finished tank through the ebay system not a chance. Keep in mind paypal leans the same way so even selling through forums can be tricky. Just make sure you try to really know your customer. Ask LOTS of questions about their experience, if they have dealt with anyone you know before, and layout your position on shipping, damages, and returns clearly and have them agree in writing to those conditions. At least this will give you some back up...

Yep a life lesson u fortunately. I checked his feedback, over 15 THOUSAND purchases, not ONE sale in the last 12 months. He is Asian? so I am assuming he is some kind of gray market reseller and not a modeller. One picture he sent me shows the parts in a box that he claims are broken, they are actually still on the tree, I don't know how to explain that models come that way until you assemble them.... I was pretty descriptive that the model needs to be finished and my pictures were pretty clear on that...

Ebay of course sided for the buyer. I called Ebay and talked with the dispute folks. They said I have to wait until he ships it back and I pay for the return shipping that I can then file a claim against the buyer. I was assured it is not over yet and I can reclaim funds from him for the damage as Ebay agreed it was not shipping damage which the buyer claimed as the box showed no signs of stress. What a load of crap. I told Ebay I will never sell any large or expensive items through them in the future and I have been a member for 13 years and never once had negative feedback.

Do you know the extent of the damage or what was broken? I'm sure someone on the forum may want to purchase it once the dust settles

OK sounds greatImage I had once been in a very similar situation with a buyer. I didn't bother to battle him over the tank and the money but he did break some bits off the tank. Without me asking he sent me some money for the damages so it all worked out. I then repaired and resold itImage

I have never sold on ebay, probably never will. Been a 100% buyer for over 15 years.

Only ever had 1 issue and it was with a 1/18 scale 21st century 251 Stukazufuss halftrack that was sold as new in box. Well technically it was new in box but the box had some kind of dark colored sugary drink spilled on it to the point it soaked through the box and got all over the truck. I contacted the seller who apparently knew it happened but claimed to not know the truck got wet. As a settlement he sent me 3 new in box 1/18 German figures which was more then I would have asked for. After that I purchased 6 more figures from him and a 7.5cm cannon from him.
