It looks accurate to me but i'll leave that question to those that know better.

I can say that it is amazing, and now I have taken certain parts apart and rebuilt (mainly overtightened/sheared bolts) very nicely made. TBH i enjoyed the 'taking apart' bit and you need to anyway to understand how it works etc.

Is it good value? Well at US$4700 i would say so plus they sent me loads of spares on request including all the different bolts/screws etc and a new rear left mudguard as the former was bent on delivery (not really their fault).

Overall I am very pleased. Now just want to get that Matilda tank model on this site not long ago and build it whilst i'm young!

Hi a fantastic tiger1 looks spot on with the details!. But with a price tag on eBay of £7.900  plus post of £100 seams a tad expensive! At least up against a 1/6th scale. Brian...

It would cost you US$4700 plus postage plus VAT i guess. Still thats 'only' about US$5800 which is around £4500.

Happy to send contact of the mainland agent if anyone wants, they have proven to be trustworthy.

Are the sounds or movements customizable? I noticed the track recoil was slightly off.
I'm debating between this and a Mark 1 Tiger 1 1:8
Alex, where did you buy it?

The sounds and recoil action seem to be the same as on a normal henglong tank, which at the price quoted is more than a little dispointing, especially as it looks so nicely detailed!

Definately not for painting - one day will sit in a corner of room nr the pool table, a V8 Maserati engine table and 'art'. One day...

Thanks

There is a large control module inside, about the size of an old video casette. Probably customisable but TBH haven't got round to investigating it more fully yet. The gun fire noise is a fraction late IMHO but maybe its one of those 'sound travels more slowly than light' effects?

The recoil tank movement is due to a microswitch at the end the travel of the 'bolt' action firing process - so completely mechanical in timing as the gun fires. Minimal tinkering possible around timing then but I could just disconnect it esp as the tank will recoil backwards even with a broadside shot!

Overall not cheap and some issues but really its just there to be enjoyed, shown to inquisitive children when they visit, and simply to gaze at. There is something about these vehicles, esp in naked metal, that is simply beguiling.

Best

I sourced from a toy distributor in China that handled all the contact and delivery details. They are also helping with any follow up and spares etc. has been a good experience, they try very hard.

With regard to a Mark 1 example, is it all metal? Personally I like the Armortek models for their purity of line but i realise they literally cost double if everything done. I live in HK easier for me when dealing with China. When i move back to the UK in 2019 (after 19 years) for the kids education, if any money left I would like a Panther G or that Elephant from Armortek.
