The piece of landscape is shaping up quite well, though I do say so myself. Waiting for the base coat paint to dry at the moment.

I've had a few mishaps and disasters on the way. First, when applying the static grass, I forgot to change the grill on the applicator so got a huge dump of grass instead of a sprinkle. At the same time, I forgot to switch the power on, so no static.

Then I discovered that my trial of using filler combined with PVA to set hard and stick everything down was a failure. The "bits of rock" failed to stick, so I tried again with just PVA, which has worked before, but this time for some reason ,the PVA is refusing to harden. I gave up on that and have stuck them down with UHU, which, fingers crossed, appears to have worked. This is the current state of affairs.

All I need now is the gun crew to arrive from Hong Kong. Ideally i need some more ammunition boxes, but can't find any of a suitable size.

Richard, Sorry about my failure to acknowledge Saturdays reply to my question any earlier,
And the simple answer is No, as I am looking for a 1/18 "Schiff" Side cap/hat, Whereas the E-Bay site is selling a "Field Cap" and no I am not being pedantic there really is a difference

Thank you for doing the search.
Shaun.

Not a problem - I thought that was probably the case. Can't recall ever having seen a figure in 1/18th with a side cap. You can get Verlinden 120mm scale ones, but they are nearer to 1/15th scale.
